THE HEART OF GOD

Genesis 40:7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in the custody of his lord’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”

Every time you look into the life of Joseph, there are wonders and great lessons to take home.

Let us look at him again today. Joseph is in prison, a place we expect him to be very worried and depressed like any other prisoner. But you will be shocked because that wasn't Joseph.

Look at this question? " Why do you look so sad today?"

What a wonderful question!

The kind of person who would ask "What makes you look so sad today?" when others are less concerned, it is likely someone with a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and compassion.

We need people around us who are like this and I will give you the results of these awesome qualities.

1. Attentive: They notice subtle changes in your demeanor and expression.
2. Caring: They genuinely care about your well-being and want to support you.
3. Empathetic: They can put themselves in your shoes and understand your feelings.
4. Compassionate: They show kindness and concern for your struggles.
5. Good listener: They create a safe space for you to open up and share your thoughts.

This person is likely a good friend, partner, or family member who values relationships and is willing to go the extra mile to support those they care about. Their concern and empathy can help create a sense of safety and trust, allowing you to open up and share your feelings.

Joseph did all the above when no one else cared and the fellow prisoners found him worth hearing their worries. And when he learnt that he had something to offer them towards their worries, he never wasted time, just went ahead and told them everything which was a solution offered to them at a Free cost.

My biggest question today is? Are you still able to be like Joseph to people around you?

We can simply say Joseph had the Heart of God. Do you also have it?

Are we able to underlook our challenges and take care of others around us?

We need God to help us because almost everyone in the prison wasn't Joseph's relative or tribe mate, but he felt more blessed to serve them.

Seasons are getting darker, that now we say "GOD FOR US ALL AND MAN FOR  HIMSELF " We are good at meeting at fellowship meetings and later depart without checking on ourselves.

I would love to encourage everyone who has been labouring to be a blessing to others and encourage those on the way to make it happen too.
Just a reminder 🎗️
Mine is not to judge, but rather encourage all of us with the word of God Daily.
